Autumn Term message from Miss Warburton:

Welcome back to Year 2!  I am really looking forward to this half term with my new class - I know we are going to have so much fun. We will be doing lots of exciting learning.  Our main learning theme will be 'Movers and Shakers' and we will be doing some history work.  Can you find out about a historically significant person? Throughout our maths learning journey in Year 2, it will be important that we become confident with the times tables. Can you count in 2s, 5s and 10s? If you can - your next challenge is to start to remember the 3s times tables.

Please have a look at the fridge words linked below. These words are based on the vocabulary we are exploring within our topic and science lessons. How many of these can you learn?

We also have an exciting half term as we will be going outdoors every Friday afternoon with our learning. Some children will go into forest school, and the rest of us will do our Outdoor Curriculum so please remember your wellies and waterproof coats!

Please take a look at the documents below so you know exactly what we will be learning this half term.

If you have any questions, please do not hesistate to ask - I am happy to help!

Miss Warburton 😊

A very mysterious visitor...

Oh my... before half term we had some very mysterious things happening in our Year 2 classroom! It all began when we discovered a giant footprint outside the classroom and from then on there was something new appearing every day! We even spotted the giant on CCTV putting on his wig and glasses! The giant wrote a letter addressed to Year 2 so the children wrote a letter back to him to find out more about the myterious happenings. Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum!
